Church of St. Sophia and the Spiritual-Pastoral Centre
The Church of St. Sophia and the Spiritual-Pastoral Centre (construction started in 2013). The church will serve as the centre of the spiritual and educational life of the university. The interior of the church is deeply symbolic and has three levels which, at the same time, represent examples of various Christian traditions: the Jerusalem Crypt of the Lord’s Tomb, the Roman Lower Church of St. Clement, and the main Church, the Church of God’s Wisdom, St. Sophia.
The Spiritual-Pastoral Centre is where public lectures, discussions on religious subjects, presentations of spiritual literature, and rehearsals and performances of the university choir will take place. The Spiritual-Pastoral Centre is the heart of spiritual formation and psychological support for students, teachers and other university staff.
