It is with deep sadness that we inform you that Mitred Archpriest Fr. Roman Galadza passed away on the morning of August 1st.
Father Roman was one of the founders of the Ukrainian Catholic Education Foundation in Canada and served on the Board for many years.
Father Roman always supported the Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU) in Lviv. He was the spiritual leader of many English-learning schools and a favorite of students during his visits to UCU.
Recently, Archbishop Borys Gudziak visited Fr. Roman and presented him with a “Thank you Letter” from the Ukrainian Catholic University which we would like to quote:
“Від імені спільноти Українського католицького університету усіх поколінь – працівників, викладачів, студентів та приятелів, дякуємо отцеві Романові Ґаладзі:
За усмішку, радісний спів і натхнення для спільноти.
За дар бути душею реколекцій, літніх шкіл і програм.
За активну участь у заснуванні Фундації УКУ в Канаді.
За заангажування усієї великої Родини до справи УКУ.
А передусім за свідчення про Царство і спільну молитву у присутності великого Бога висловлюємо щиру і глибоку вдячність”
